    General Administration Department is an important department out of the total 17 departments of Zilla Parishad Bhandara. Deputy Chief Executive Officer (General) is the head of this department. As per the requirement, after scrutinizing important information/administrative proposals and cases from all the departments of Zilla Parishad, Hon. Chief Executive Officer, Z.P. Bhandara and submitting them to the senior office is done through this department.

    • To organize the Standing Committee meeting within 30 days and prepare the minutes of the meeting within the prescribed time and make them available to all the concerned members.
    • To organize the Zilla Parishad general meeting within 90 days and make the minutes available to all the honorable members within the prescribed time.
    • To organize the Zilla Parishad general meeting within the prescribed time.
    • To inspect all the departments and Panchayat Samiti under the Zilla Parishad.
    • To comply with the inspection notes of the Hon. Commissioner.
    • To organize Pension Adalat.
    • To implement the Right to Information Act-2005.
    • To take action for appointment of heirs on compassionate grounds after the death of the employees.
    • To examine the cases of 12 and 24 years of benefit to Class – 3 employees and provide them for the approval of the Hon. Chief Executive Officer.
    • To take action to fill the vacant posts in various departments of the Zilla Parishad as per the government directives.
    • To take action for transfers as per the general transfer policy as per the government directives.
    • Submitting a report on pending retirement cases of retired employees to the government.
    • Handling matters related to establishment of clerical employees.
    • Maintaining the service seniority list of clerical employees.
    • Maintaining the 100-point roster of clerical employees.
    • Investigating the establishment issues of classes 1, 2, 3 and 4 and submitting them to the M.M.K.A. for decision.
    • Investigating disciplinary cases of class 1 to 4 employees and sending them to the M.M.K.A. for decision.
    • Preparing the annual administration report of the District Council.
    • Collecting information collected during the meetings of the Panchayat Raj Committee/Backward Classes Committee and other committees.
    • Preparing the district-wide information of the M.M.K.A. meetings.
    • Organizing coordination meetings of Group Development Officers and Department Heads.
    • Organizing meetings of the Zilla Parishad Clerks’ Association as required.
