    Information about the department

    Panchayat Division, G.P. All Gram Panchayats in the district are controlled through Bhandara. Grants received under the 15th Finance Commission, Jan Suvidha Yojana, Nagar Suvidha Yojana are distributed to Gram Panchayats for development work through this department.

    Introduction

    According to the Maharashtra Gram Panchayat Act, the following tasks are handled by the Class-3 and Class-4 employees of the Panchayat Department under G.P.Bhandara.

    1. Promotion to the post of Extension Officer (Pt/ Agriculture) from the cadre of Gram Panchayat Adhikari.
    2. Working of Panchayat Department and Gram Panchayat at P.S. level coming under Zilla Parishad take control

    To promote and publicize the schemes implemented through the Panchayat Department at the village level to provide benefits of the scheme to maximum number of citizens and bring about economic and social development of the rural areas..

    1. To review the various development works going on in the area of ​​work and where the progress of the work is not satisfactory or any difficulties arise on the actual site to resolve the same.
    2. To check whether subordinate zonal officers and employees satisfactorily perform assigned tasks and duties.
    3. To inspect whether the administrative work in the field office and the project site, financial and accounting matters are done according to the rules prescribed by the government or not.
    4. Dissemination of government and local schemes through Zilla Parishad by contacting the local people and seeking the cooperation of local people and public representatives to implement various development schemes.

    To achieve the above purpose the following amounts of tour and night stay are prescribed for officers and employees of Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti.

    1. Urban amenities, public amenities schemes, construction of Swa.Matoshree Balasaheb Thackeray Gram Panchayat and Rajrishi Shahu Maharaj Jyeshtha Literary and Artist Honor Scheme are implemented.
    2. Under the 15th Finance Commission, NAMO 11-point program, NAMO Village Secretariat Construction, NAMO Self-sufficient and Solar Energy Village Mission Schemes are being implemented.
