    Information about the department

    In Health Department, Zilla Parishad Bhandara there are Total 33 Primary Health Centers, 193 Sub Centers, 29 Ayurvedic Dispensaries, 4 Allopathic Dispensaries and 7 Taluka Health Offices which are functioning through Anemia Free India, Asha Swayamsevika Yojana, AYUSH, Family Welfare Programme, Primary Health Services, Janani Shishu Suraksha Programme, Janani Suraksha Yojana, Infrastructure Development Cell, Human Development Programme, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, National Rabies Control Programme, National Child Health Programme, National Quality Framework for Public Health Facilities, National Urban Health Mission, Sickle Cell Disease Control programs, tuberculosis infection and source of exposure, etc. are implemented.

    Introduction

    According to the Maharashtra Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti Act 1961, the following works of class-3 and class-4 in health department are handled under Zilla Parishad Bhandara.

    1. All the above Primary Health Center’s and sub-center’s control and take measures on health care in rural areas in the district.
    2. Health benefits are provided to the beneficiaries of rural areas in the district through various schemes.
    3. The service matters of the employees in the working cadre are handled under the Health Department Zilla Parishad Bhandara. Also, action is taken regarding their transfer, promotion and appointment.

    Zilla Parishad level – District Health Officer, Assist. District Health Officer, District Reproductive & Child Healthcare Officer, Add. District Health Officer, Administrative Officer, Epidemic Officers, District Extension and Media Officers, Assist. Administrative Officers, Junior Administrative Officers and Office Class-3 & Class-4 employees.

    Taluka Level – Taluka Health Officer, Health Supervisor, Health Assistant

    Primary Health Center Level – Medical Officer (Group-A) and Medical Officer (Group-B), Health Assistant, Health Assistant, Drug Manufacturing Officer, Health Nurse

    Sub-centre level –       Community Health Officers, Health Officers, Health Nurses

    These types of health and administrative systems are active.

    In order to raise the health standard of the people by promoting and publicizing the schemes implemented by the Health Department in the rural areas, necessary health facilities at the primary level Primary Health Centers, Sub-Centers, Ayurvedic / Allopathic Dispensaries Provided through clinics.

     

    • The Primary Health Center’s and sub-center’s regularly review the health care in rural areas and take necessary measures to achieve 100 percent of the targets.
    • To increase the number of deliveries taking place in rural women’s health institutions and to reduce maternal mortality and infant mortality.
    • Identifying sickle cell carriers in the community and counseling them to avoid intermarriage.
    • To find TB patients and provide them with free treatment facilities in order to prevent the spread of TB infection.
    • To take other necessary measures to raise the health status of rural areas.

    • Janani Surakshaya Yojana –

    Policy– To increase the number of deliveries in rural areas of the state and to reduce the number of maternal deaths and infant deaths in women’s health institutions under the poverty line and scheduled castes and tribes.

    Guidelines – The said pregnant woman in rural areas should belong to A.C., A.T.  Pregnant women in other category should be below poverty line.  The age condition of the said beneficiary woman was relaxed.  While giving the benefit of the said scheme, the condition of the child has been relaxed.

     

    • Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana

    Policy – This scheme is implemented to provide financial assistance for food so that the baby and mother should continue to have a healthy and nutritious diet after delivery and the baby does not become malnourished.   The benefit under this scheme is Rs. 5000/- is deposited in an Aadhaar affiliated bank or post office account through DBT in three stages.

    Guidelines – Women whose net family income per annum should be less than Rs. 8 lac, Women who belong to Scheduled Castes/Tribes, Women who are partially (40 percent) or totally disabled, Women who are BPL card holders, Women who are holders of E-Shram Card, Women who are holding MNREGA Job Card, Women who are pregnant and lactating Anganwadi sevaks / Anganwadi helpers / ASHA workers, who are farmers under Women Kisan Samman Nidhi The scheme is implemented for women.

     

    • Human Development Programme –

    Policy – Under the Human Development Programme, the check-up camps are organized for pregnant women’s / lactating mother’s, children’s aged 0 to 6 years are examined by specialist doctors and pregnant / lactating mother’s are given subsidized wages.  The scheme is being implemented under the policy that mothers should get adequate rest during pregnancy and delivery so that the health of mother’s and children’s remains healthy.

    Guidelines – To take benefit of this scheme it is necessary to go to primary health center and sub-centre, the benefit of this scheme is given only to pregnant women’s/ mothers below the poverty line, the subsidy of the scheme is given through the medical officer or health nurse.  Rs.2000/- are given to the women’s who is preganant’s between  during 7 to 9 months of pregnancy, And Rs.2000/- given after delivery.   In this way total Rs. 4000/- are given as sunk wages.
