Name of the scheme-

1. Rajiv Gandhi Student Accident Relief Grant Scheme
In case of death or disability due to an accident of students studying in school from class 1 to 12, a committee has been formed at the district level under the chairmanship of the Hon. District Collector to provide financial assistance to the parents of those students. After the proposal is received by the school through the Education Department (Primary) for classes 1 to 8 and the Education Department (Secondary) for classes 9 to 10, the said proposal is examined and placed before the Hon. District Collector’s committee. Action is taken as per Government Decision No. PRE/2011/Patra No. 249/Prashi-1/Dated-1 October 2013. Objective -1) To provide benefits to the parents of children studying from class 1 to 12 in case of death or disability due to an accident. Nature of benefit:- As per Government Decision No.PRE/2011/Paper No.249/Prashi-1/Dated-1st October 2013 1) In case of accidental death of students Rs.150,000/- 2) Permanent disability due to accident (loss of 2 limbs/2 eyes or 1 limb and 1 eye) Rs.100,000/- 3) Permanent disability due to accident (one limb or 1 eye) permanent loss of limbs Rs.75,000/-

2.  Savitribai Phule Adoptive Parent Scheme
Financial assistance is provided to help the destitute, economically weak and socially backward, and disabled girls studying in Zilla Parishad schools from class 1 to 8 to contribute to their education. As per Government Circular No. Women/1093/(938)Pr.Sh.2/Dated-3 April 1993, a committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Chairman Education Committee Zilla Parishad, Bhandara to look after the financial affairs and other works of Savitribai Phule Adoptive Parent Scheme Fund.
Form -1) Financial assistance is provided to the financially poor girls studying in the school so that they do not remain deprived of education. 2) Funds are collected from the charitable persons of the society and the amount is kept in a fixed deposit in the bank and the girls are given benefits on the interest earned from it. 3) Proposals of needy girls are sought from the school principal and the committee selects the beneficiary students considering the available funds and a total of Rs.50/- per month for a year of Rs.500/- is given to the students through the principal.
